Dear Cavalier Families:

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your cooperation and support during a most difficult time.  We know that virtual learning is not ideal and we are making plans to return to in-person classes in the near future.  Please know that the health and safety of our students, staff, and their families is of utmost importance to us.  We have followed all Kentucky Department of Education and local health department guidelines and will continue to do so.

In order to ensure that our transition to in-person learning goes as smoothly as possible, we ask for your help.  Per KAR 2:220E, we have been asked by the Governor’s Office and the Kentucky Department of Health to report the numbers of students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.  This information will help us to make appropriate decisions to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We ask that you please contact your school directly if your student has tested positive for COVID-19.  Rest assured that confidentiality will be maintained.  This information will only be used to report numbers and to ensure that proper protocols are followed to ensure the safety of those who have tested positive or been exposed to a positive case.

Thank you all for trusting us with your children as we work together to meet their needs.  We hope and pray for your continued health and safety.

Sincerely,

Damian Johnson

Superintendent
